A group of educationists and philanthropists has established this institute of higher studies with an aim to create knowledge based society in the year 2002. The University grants Commissions and the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh accorded permission to establish this magnificent institute.

Vision : The principal aim of Prime University is to provide high quality education at undergraduate and postgraduate levels relevant to the needs of a dynamic society. The Courses and Curriculum are so designed as to enable a student to enter into the world of work and pursue higher academic and professional goals with a sound academic foundation. The academic goal of the University is not just to make the students pass the examination but equip them with the means to become productive members of the community and continue the practice of lifelong learning.

Message from the Vice Chancellor Prime University was established in 2002 at Mirpur, Dhaka by a group of eminent philanthropist keeping in view to provide higher education to the students of different stratas of the society for human resource development. The main vision of this university is to create innovative international standard education for the students of Bangladesh that can contribute to the welfare of the nation and the world. The main mission of Prime University is to integrate creatively and dynamically international and national experiences of education in Bangladesh.

Prime University has ten undergraduate and eight graduate programs offered by the five faculties with the strict controls of its education quality. Prime University beliefs in both theoretical and practice oriented along with interactive process of education system. Moreover, there is wide scope of research for the faculties and as a result it is a place of cultivation of knowledge, creation of knowledge and exchange of knowledge. In addition, Prime University promotes Whole Person Education (WPE) in order to prepare the students to make them complete human being so that they can stand by their own. In addition of formal education, the students are involved in co-curriculum activities viz. debating, relief distribution during natural calamities and voluntary services to the disadvantaged communities.

Prime university is very much eager to develop an innovative education model that unites the forces of the university, the students, the faculties, the parents and the society for the delivery of our education programs. The students who are graduated from Prime University have already proved themselves as worthy through their employment in different organizations. The success of the students proves that Prime University is an institution that upholds excellence education across the nation and abroad.
